Resveratrol is a substance produced by several plants that has been studied for its health benefit. Studies suggest that resveratrol has cardioprotective and anticancer activities. Resveratrol is a naturally occurring compound present in many fruits, vegetables, and wine. Most fruits (even French bunch grapes) have such small amounts of the compound, that extraction methods are the only viable solution to retrieve measurable amounts.
